You may donate up to a maximum of $1,324 to each campaign (civic and school board) in 2023. Donations made to municipal political parties are not eligible for a tax receipt.

For years, with your dedicated support, the Green Party of Vancouver has fought for changes to the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act (LECFA) to ensure fairness and equity in local elections.
Councillor Pete Fry and the Green Party of Vancouver introduced a motion calling for the province to act on local political finance reform, which passed unanimously. The provincial government introduced legislation in 2021 that changes the way we manage campaign contributions.
As part of these changes, you now have the option to donate to the civic (council and park board) campaign, or to the school board campaign. You may also let us decide if you have no preference. We will no longer have a separate operations account between elections that can receive general contributions.
