Kaarina Talvila

In joining the Board of Directors of the Vancouver Green Party, Kaarina completes a Green Party trifecta, having been a campaign manager in the riding of Vancouver-Quadra in the 2019 federal election, after which she was instrumental in establishing the first city-wide BC Green Party Riding Association and serving briefly as its first President. By getting involved with the Green Party at the municipal level, Kaarina hopes to help keep climate and climate change adaptation and resilience on the front burner. In addition to her capital-G Green activities, Kaarina supports green initiatives for sustainability, reduced consumerism and local handmade through her work in both the local vintage and craft communities, and is a craftsperson herself.
