Say NO to police with guns embedded in schools
Because of the proven institutional racism within the VPD culture that has yet to be acknowledged, the outdated (2006) SLO framework should not be reinstated within the schools. We need accurate and evidence-based solutions to move forward for ALL students' safety, health and well-being.
The SLO program was terminated as it was outdated, it has proven to harm educational outcomes for some students and made some students feel unsafe.
The Vancouver School Board has reinstated the SLO program without committee discussion. Sign your name to show you do not support bringing back the outdated program that embeds uniformed and armed police officers in schools.
