How to vote by mail

Will you be out of town on both of the advance voting days (October 4th and 10th) AND on election day, October 14th?

If so, you can still vote by mail! Here's what you need to do:

1. Fill out the application for a mail-in ballot on the City's website here: https://vancouver.ca/your-government/vote-by-mail.aspx. You can request that the ballot be mailed to you (within Canada), or to pick it up at the Election Office located at 450 W Broadway, 1st floor, between 8:30am and 5:00pm. NOTE: You will not be able to pick up your ballot the same day that you submit your request.

2. If you are unable to pick up the ballot yourself or will be out of the country, you will need to assign a designated person on your form to pick up your ballot for you. If you would like us to help you with this, please put "Paul George" down as your designate. Paul is a member of our team who will pick up your ballot for you and send it wherever you are. Please email us at [email protected] to let us know that you have assigned Paul George as your designate, and to let us know where we should send your ballot.

3. Return your ballot by mail right away. For your vote to be counted, your ballot must be received by the Election Office by 8pm on October 14th. If you are sending in your ballot from out of the country, please take account of the longer delivery times for international mail.
