To vote in the City Council by-election, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older on general voting day
- Be a Canadian citizen
- Have lived in BC for at least 6 months immediately before voting day
- Have lived in Vancouver for at least 30 days immediately before voting day (or have owned real property registered in your name in Vancouver for at least 30 days immediately before voting day)
Note: Residents of UBC and the University Endowment Lands may not vote in the City Council by-election because that is outside of the City of Vancouver.
If you're not registered, you can vote when you go to your voting location: Bring two pieces of identification (ID). Note that both pieces of ID must show your name. One piece must show your address, and one must include your signature.
Advance voting will take place 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on March 26th and April 1st at Vancouver City Hall, 453 W 12th Ave, Vancouver.
General voting will take place 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on April 5th at the following locations:
