Vancouver Council of Women is inviting female candidates to their October meeting to participate in a question and answer session regarding their current theme: "Eliminating Poverty through Life Skills Education and Women's Empowerment."

The Vancouver Council of Women is associated with the national Council of Women of Canada. NCWC is an organization of women who work together on issues that affect our families, our communities and our country, and bring them to the attention of government. Federates of the Vancouver group include: Anglican Church Women, Business and Professional Women, Canadian Club of Vancouver, Developmental Disabilities Association, Health and Home Care BC, Native Daughters BC Post #1, Polish Canadian Women's Federation #4, Soroptimist International Vancouver, Ukrainian Women's Association, University Women's Club of Vancouver, West Coast LEAF, and YWCA Metro Vancouver.
