Save the Stanley Park Bike Lane

The current Park Board is planning to remove the Stanley Park Bike Lane without a firm commitment to replace it. The bike lane has become an extremely well used fixture of Stanley Park, offering cyclists of all types a safe and pleasurable route around the park.

Commissioner Tom Digby believes the plan to remove the bike lane is fiscally irresponsible. The money saved by leaving the lane in place could be much better spent updating the existing infrastructure to accommodate the remaining accessibility concerns that the bike lane poses and replacing remaining sections of cones with permanent infrastructure.

Help us save the Stanley Park Bike Lane by:

1. Signing the Petition

2. Emailing your Parks Board Commissioners

3. Demonstrating your support for the bike lane and Commissioner Digby at the upcoming Park Board meeting on Dec 5 at 6:30pm. Details here.

Keep the Stanley Park Bike Lane in place and ask Park Board staff to complete the plan to address the remaining accessibility concerns and replace remaining sections of cones with permanent infrastructure.
