A just, inclusive city integrates reconciliation into all its decision-making and approaches First Nations as partners. Embracing and advancing reconciliation will lead to a brighter, more equitable future for everyone. Vancouver Green Park Board Commissioners will:

• Prioritize collaboration with the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations to explore opportunities for co-management of parklands.

• Seek guidance and amplify the voices of traditional knowledge keepers on ways to support stewardship of our park ecosystems.

• Work with urban Indigenous organizations and community members to ensure they are included in planning and initiatives of the Park Board.

• Incorporate Indigenous naming, values, art, and healing gardens by centering cultural recognition in the design of our facilities and outdoor spaces.
