Join Commissioner Tom Digby for a Teach-In on the Future of Vancouver’s Parks
Vancouver residents are warmly invited to join a free online teach-in on Monday, April 6 at 7 PM.
Green Park Board Commissioner Tom Digby will share ideas about priorities for the 2027–2030 Park Board Capital Plan, which will be debated at a Park Board Special Meeting on Tuesday, April 7.
This informative session will give participants helpful background on an exciting proposal for a historic $1.35 billion investment in parks and recreation in the next Council term. The proposal includes:
- $300 million for parks and open spaces
- $50 million for biodiversity recovery and ecological restoration
- $1 billion for recreation facilities, including swimming pools, community centres, and ice rinks
If you care about climate-resilient parks, thriving urban nature, and accessible recreation for all Vancouverites, this is a great opportunity to learn more and help shape the conversation
