Michael loves Vancouver and wants to make it better – more healthy, affordable, inclusive and resilient. He’s a supporter of healthy environments, rich cultural spaces, accessible transportation, sustainable housing and commercial options, climate change actions and an efficient local government.
Michael has gained extensive leadership experience as a public servant and business leader though his involvement with the Vancouver Park Board, Art House Society, eight ½ restaurant lounge, Office of the Premier, Mount Pleasant BIA, Persons with Disabilities Advisory Committee, Indigenous Peoples Advisory Committee, LGBT2+/TGV2S, and numerous community boards.
As a Park Board Commissioner and past chair, he worked across party lines to co-create major strategies with community groups, local First Nations and staff to advance the Park Board over the next 25 years.
He has proven he can work with the community to champion evidence-based strategies to make Vancouver a better place to live, play and do business.
