In the 2018 election the people of Vancouver elected the largest Green Party caucus in Canadian history, with seven of the nine Greens elected at the top of the polls. With representation on all three municipal levels, elected Vancouver Greens have been working tirelessly over the last three and a half years to put public interest first and honour the trust that the people of Vancouver have put in them.

We are very proud of the exceptional contestants who have stepped forward to seek the support of our membership to run in the 2022 election. We hope that over the next month, and all the way until the vote in October, you will engage with them about your ideas and hopes for our city.

On April 2nd, 2022, our membership will nominate candidates to run for the 11 seats on Vancouver City Council in the upcoming election. If you would like to support one of our contestants in the upcoming nomination contest, become a member before March 18th, 2022 to be be eligible to vote.

Online voting will open on Saturday, April 2nd at 8:00am and close at 5:00pm.

A meeting of the Green Party of Vancouver membership will begin at 5:30pm at 1 Athletes Way to announce the results of the nomination contest.
