On May 12, Councillor Adriane Carr's motion calling for Vancouver to hold a public vote on Kinder Morgan's pipeline and tanker expansion plans will go before Vancouver City Council. This may be the only real chance for all Vancouverites to have a say on a plan that could change our waters and shorelines forever.
You can help ensure the success of this motion by telling Council why you support a public plebiscite on Kinder Morgan. You can do so by:
- Calling 3-1-1 and asking to be placed on the speaker's list for this motion in Council before 5pm on Monday, May 12. You would then have the opportunity to speak in Council on May 14th.
- Showing up at City Hall in person at least ten minutes before the meeting on May 13th at 9am and asking to be added to the speakers' list.
- Writing to MayorandCouncil@vancouver.ca to let them know that you support Adriane Carr's motion ("Plebiscite on Kinder Morgan’s Plans to Increase Tanker Traffic through Vancouver Waters").
