*UPDATE* - On Tuesday, May 12, Councillor Adriane Carr's motion calling for Vancouver to hold a public vote on Kinder Morgan's pipeline and tanker expansion plans was seconded in Vancouver City Council and deferred until Wednesday, May 13 in order to hear from speakers.
This may be the only real chance for all Vancouverites to have a say on a plan that could change our waters and shorelines forever.
You can help ensure the success of this motion by telling Council why you support a public plebiscite on Kinder Morgan. You can do so by:
- Calling 3-1-1 and asking to be placed on the speaker's list for this motion in Council on Wednesday morning (May 14).
- Showing up at City Hall in person before 9:20am on Wednsday, May 14 and asking to be added to the speakers' list.
- Writing to MayorandCouncil@vancouver.ca to let them know that you support Adriane Carr's motion ("Plebiscite on Kinder Morgan’s Plans to Increase Tanker Traffic through Vancouver Waters").
